Fortune 500 industrial supply company
Cost Support Solution
Code Zero built out the Product object in Salesforce and built integration to SAP to receive the product master. We designed and built a set of custom objects to allow this American Fortune 500 industrial supply company to define rules that would be used to identify quotes requiring Cost Support and also rules to define what action to take for those quotes.
For quotes that require Cost Support collaboration with the supplier, the solution creates a request in the Lightning Community and also notifies the supplier via email that a new request has been created.
We also built a the Lightning Community that serves as the platform for suppliers to review Cost Support requests and respond to them. Suppliers also have the ability to view existing Cost Support Agreements. Once the supplier finalizes their response to the Cost Support Request, integration to the company’s vendor contract repository (SAP Vistex) is used to create/update the agreement.

Code Zero implemented CPQ’s Quote Document Generation tool to create existing service order components, and present pricing and products to customers for approval. We also created group bundles for the Products and Services offered by the company.
Human resources software and services provider
Apttus Out, CPQ In – Helping enhance the employee life cycle.
This company is a U.S. provider of global human capital management (HCM) software and services company that provides solutions for organizations of all sizes, from small businesses to global organizations.
Code Zero replaced Apttus and leveraged out-of-the-box best practice capability within Salesforce – to deploy Salesforce CPQ. We installed Salesforce CPQ, configured Bundles, and created Product Rules to allow easy-to-use quoting for sales and ensure maintainability for IT admins. We also deployed Advanced Approvals and built automation for out-of-office flows and SLA notification event.
“Code Zero helped us with our Salesforce CPQ Implementation. We had an additional layer to this project as we were moving from an existing CPQ application (Apttus) to SF CPQ, so we had extra considerations like ensuring we were able to uninstall Apttus, transfer and/or retain old data within the new environment and use much less code in the new build than we had with Apttus. On top of that, we were also going through a change in Go-To-Market strategy of our flagship product that needed to be reflected in the pricing and contracting of this product within SF CPQ. Code Zero was wonderful to work with. They were very attentive and always ready to jump on a call to solve an issue at a moment’s notice. We very clearly tracked our project status and knew where the concerns or lingering issues were at as we went along. Code Zero helped us move from Apttus to CPQ as smoothly as I could have possibly imagined it going.” – E. Sr. Systems Business Analyst
U.S. supplier of cloud-based supply chain management software
Using CPQ to keep business moving with redefined processes.
This company provides cloud-based supply chain management software to retailers, suppliers, third-party logistics providers and partners.
Code Zero removed “Add Products” functionality on Opportunities in order to shift users to utilize the Salesforce CPQ Quote object and enable Salesforce CPQ to become the System of Record (SOR) for all Products and Pricing. We identified and configured all applicable Bundles, Offerings, and Packages.
Our work included identifying and detailing all special pricing use cases: Partner pricing, volume discounts, custom priced products, etc. We loaded and configured all pricing and pricing rules in Salesforce CPQ and added additional fields to the Opportunity and Quote objects required by the NAV for closed Opportunities. The team created validation rules and roadblocks to require milestones be hit to Close Won Opportunities, configured a small number of Document Templates using dynamic sections and content to provide coverage for all currently used templates, and built roadblocks into the Quote object to prevent Contracts from being sent before Quote approval.
“I have worked with Code Zero as a CPQ implementation partner at two very different companies: one with an established CPQ background and clearly defined requirements, and the other a large company with no CPQ history who was also undergoing a major pricing change. In both cases Code Zero delivered tailored solutions and a flexible partnership. Their team is experienced, professional, and easy to work with. I also appreciated their enablement model which gets your business up and running on CPQ quickly while also ensuring your team can handle the ongoing maintenance and support.” – T. CPQ Manager
Well-known multinational software company
Quoting smarter, not harder. Using CPQ to implement an time effective quoting process.
One of the largest most well-known American multinational software companies is known for creating solutions that help their customers automated business processes and drive efficiency so when it was time to internally practicing what they preached they came to Code Zero to help implement CPQ to relieve the internal efficiency and productivity issues.
Code Zero reduced the timeline to quote from hours (and sometimes days), to minutes. Our work reduced the percentage of quotes requiring approvals from 60% to less than 20%, and eliminated the creation of quotes with invalid product configurations. We removed manual lookups and complexity from quoting add-ons by leveraging contract and subscription management in Salesforce CPQ, thus enabling “one-click” amendments.
The sales team adopted Salesforce CPQ incredibly quickly and they provided very positive feedback on how easy it was to quote. Based on the feedback, CA is moving quickly to migrate additional business units onto Salesforce CPQ.
“I highly recommend Code Zero for their in-depth QTC knowledge, their SFDC (CPQ) expertise, and their amazing ability to seamlessly integrate with a large project team, serving as an advisor and true partner to IT and the business. An “Org Migration” user with System Administrator access will be used by the Service Provider team to perform the data migration. This way, the records will show they were created by “Org Migration” (vs. a named user on the Service Provider team). For most objects, the Created by User and Created Timestamp will be overridden with the Migration user and Migration timestamp. For up to 5 objects (Account, Contact, Opportunity…) the “Create Audit Fields” override will be used so original created by information can be preserved.

“So much fun, we kept the party going for a second engagement! We initially engaged with Code Zero to build a new org in Salesforce Lightning. They then helped us chart out a roadmap for our Salesforce journey and we engaged them to implement CPQ as well. “
“The communication is top notch. From weekly status calls, to daily collaboration – I know what is happening, where the risks are, and what needs to be done next every step of the way. And if there were issues — I know that there will always be someone to answer my call.”
“A tie in what I like best is also the depth of expertise. We went to Code Zero because we did not have a knowledge base in house. We had invested in Salesforce and we knew we wanted to leverage this tool for more than we could accomplish on our own. Code Zero guided us and helped us make the right decisions for our business. No one likes spending money on something you think you should be able to do in house, but in the end, hiring experts is worth the investment.” – K. AVP, Marketing
